From April 18th to 20th, 2024, Rashi Kapoor, the esteemed representative of Sachin Sarcoma Society, embarked on a journey to Rome, Italy, to participate in the 15th Annual Conference of Sarcoma Patient Advocacy Global Network (SPAGN). This event brought together passionate advocates, healthcare professionals, and researchers from around the world to share knowledge and experiences in the fight against sarcoma.
In her reflection on the conference, Rashi Kapoor expressed her profound gratitude and satisfaction for the opportunity to represent her organization and her country’s efforts in battling Desmoid Tumors. She described her feelings as a blend of happiness, satisfaction, and gratitude for the enriching experience.
“Feeling happy, satisfied, and grateful for the opportunity to represent Sachin Sarcoma Society at the 15th Annual Conference of Sarcoma Patient Advocacy Global Network (SPAGN) in Rome, Italy from 19-21 April 2024,” Rashi Kapoor shared.
One of the highlights of her experience was the chance to present the efforts of Sachin Sarcoma Society in supporting patients and caregivers affected by Desmoid Tumors. She expressed her gratitude for the warm reception her presentation received and the opportunity to learn from the experiences and work of other delegates.
“Grateful for being provided with the opportunity to present our efforts via-a-vis patients and caregivers battling Desmoid Tumors in our country. It was received well. It was great to learn from the experience and work being done by other delegates,” Rashi Kapoor remarked.
Acknowledging the support of her colleagues, Rashi Kapoor extended her gratitude to Dr. Sameer Rastogi from Sarcoma Medical Oncology at AIIMS, as well as her team members Lakshay Nagpal, Rakshit Aggarwal, and Bijila Saji. She also thanked her husband, Adhir Kapoor, and all the patients and caregivers for their unwavering support and good wishes in furthering the cause.
