The session featured incredible stories of strength and resilience from caregivers and patients:
- Sharad Tandon, caregiver of his wife Namrata, shared how cancer has taught him patience, positivity, and even new skills like cooking.
- Reina Singh, mother of a Ewing’s sarcoma survivor, highlighted the importance of faith in the doctors and the power of determination and support from loved ones.
- Shikha Jaiswal, caregiver of a synovial sarcoma patient, shared how she managed anxiety and depression by staying positive, avoiding negativity, volunteering, and finding solace in gardening.
- Akhilesh Kumari, an angiosarcoma patient, emphasized spirituality and self-reliance, focusing on positive affirmations to stay strong.
- Ayush Ranjan, an osteosarcoma survivor, shared how he stays positive and engaged, despite amputation, by staying active and social with friends.
- Rahul Kokarwar, caregiver to his wife, spoke about how caregiving transformed him into a more tolerant and patient person.
The meeting was attended by 55 patients and included a heartwarming virtual performance by Amit Singh.
