What is Self-Love?
Self-love is the practice of appreciating, accepting, and nurturing yourself emotionally, mentally, and physically. It means being kind to yourself, recognizing your self-worth, and practicing positive thoughts and actions that foster self-care. For patients undergoing treatment, especially for conditions like sarcoma, self-love is crucial. It helps in managing stress, supporting mental health, and boosting emotional resilience. When patients love and believe in themselves, they strengthen their inner power to overcome both the disease and the mental challenges that come with it.
Highlights from the Session with Ms. Manisha Gupta
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Manisha Gupta, a DSCRT survivor, who shared her powerful journey of healing through self-love. Her insights offered valuable lessons on how to care for ourselves, both inwardly and outwardly, while battling illness.
– Mirror Therapy: Manisha ji shared how practicing affirmations like “I love you” and “I am beautiful” in front of the mirror helps to reduce stress and bring internal healing. By regularly doing this, we can foster self-acceptance and release emotional blockages.
– Self-Acceptance: She emphasized how vital it is to accept ourselves completely, leading to a gradual emotional release, sometimes even through tears.
– Sharad Purnima Insights: Manisha ji also talked about the significance of Sharad Purnima, highlighting meditation and mindful practices that help remove negativity and promote healing.
